Where It Started!!

While waiting in line to board our 14-hour flight to Tokyo, I struck up a conversation with Sean. He shared that he was traveling for work and that he was an ordained minister. As we spoke, Sean confided in me about his son Kyle, whose health has been steadily declining due to M.S. I felt the Spirit urging me to pray with Sean for Kyle, and when I asked, Sean agreed.

Meanwhile, Tara was engaged in conversation with a couple who were headed to Tokyo on mission to minister to Filipino churches in Japan. This all happened just 20 minutes after we had prayed specifically for "Divine Appointments" for our trip!

After boarding, our flight was delayed for almost two hours due to lightning and thunderstorms. But we knew that NOTHING was going to stop what God was going to do! Miraculously, the pilot made up 1 hour and 20 minutes, reducing our delay to only 40 minutes. To our surprise, our arrival gate in Tokyo was just five gates away from our connecting flight.

This Is What Followed:

Today, we went to look at a boat for a ministry here. Bryan Walters was adamant about seeing this boat, and while we were at the beach, we noticed a woman standing with a cane. She had tumor-like growths on her feet, knees, arms, and elbows. As we spoke with her, she shared that she comes to the beach to escape her drunk husband. She is a believer.

Feeling compelled by the Holy Spirit, we laid hands on her and prayed. She started crying as she felt the Presence of the Holy Spirit. We were able to encourage her in the Lord and embrace her. What a blessing! We now realize that Bryan’s urgency to see the boat was not about the boat at all—we were meant to be there to pray for her.

We also visited a church and prayed over Pastor Chris and his congregation. Additionally, we checked on the new small house that we were able to build a few months ago, thanks to The Refuge, Only Believe Ministries, and other generous financial partners. All glory to God!

For over 2 ½ hours, we gathered with passionate hearts, reflecting on the foundation that led us to this pivotal moment. What did we ALL discover as the key foundation? OBEDIENCE.

💡 What does obedience mean?

Obedience is hearing the Word of God and acting on it, implementing it into our lives moment by moment. It’s about aligning our will with God’s will, surrendering to His authority, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us—so that everything we do aligns with His Word.

🌊✨ A Glorious Day of Water Baptism at Kalya Esperanza! ✨🌊

Today, we rejoice as we witnessed the powerful act of obedience in water baptism! 🙌🏽💙

Water baptism is symbolic of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection:

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come!" – 2 Corinthians 5:17

What a beautiful reminder of God’s grace and the new life we have in Christ! As these individuals take this step of simple obedience, we celebrate their faith and the journey ahead.

But baptism is just the beginning! Discipleship is key to growing in His love and walking in His purpose. 🌱✨ Through prayer, fellowship, and the study of God’s Word, may each one continue to be strengthened and equipped to live out their faith daily.
